At the 23rd Annual Fall Scientific Meeting of SMSNA, an exciting new Peyronie’s disease (PD) self-assessment app was launched. The Peyronie’s Self-Assessment App is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the SMSNA and Endo International plc.
With the app, men who may be concerned about a curve in their penis can learn about PD, complete a self-assessment questionnaire on PD, estimate their curvature with the app’s 2D and 3D scanning features, and contact a physician for evaluation.
The app’s “Locate a Provider” feature links directly to the SMSNA network of providers, so patients know that they will be referred to providers with experience in sexual medicine.
Although the app is not a diagnostic tool, it allows men to learn about PD and preform a self-assessment in the comfort and privacy of their own homes. Then, they are able to share the results with a knowledgeable urologist or sexual medicine specialist who can properly evaluate their condition.
To check out the app, download it for free from the App Store or Google Play.
