Dr. Juan Andino completed his residency at the University of Michigan and a Male Reproductive Medicine & Surgery Fellowship at UCLA. He joined UCLA Urology and the affiliated Martin Luther King Community Healthcare.
Beyond his clinical interests, Dr. Andino has expertise in telehealth, health policy, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives. He is passionate about urologic education, mentorship, and recruiting the best to our sub-specialty of sexual medicine.
Omer Raheem is an American Board-Certified urologist specializing in men’s sexual health, male infertility and andrology at the University of Chicago, Section of Urology, Department of Surgery. He also holds a joint appointment as an assistant professor of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Chicago, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition, he directs the Men’s Wellness Program and Clinics at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
He works closely with the University of Chicago’s Center for Reproductive Medicine and Fertility team to provide care for patients suffering with male factor infertility and supports cancer survivors at the Comprehensive Cancer Center to improve quality of erectile, urinary, and reproductive health in men.
In addition to his clinical work, Raheem is involved in clinical and translational research to better understand patient-reported outcomes in prosthetics and reproductive urology and is studying novel ways to discover biomarkers and therapeutics in the field of sexual medicine.
His research has been published in over 125 peer-reviewed publications and eight book chapters, most recently in the Manual of Sperm Retrieval and Preparation in Human Assisted Reproduction 2021 (Cambridge University Press). He is an associate editor of Sexual Medicine and Sexual Medicine Reviews, journals of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America.
Dr Raheem completed his residency in urology at the University of California, San Diego, and a fellowship at the University of Washington. Prior to that, he completed general surgery and urology training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland, and earned Master of Surgery (MCh) and master of science (MSc) degrees from the University of Dublin, Trinity College.
Eduardo Bertero is a Urologist at IAMSPE and Fellow at Boston University; Master in Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo; Responsible for the department of male sexual dysfunction and penile reconstructive surgery at IAMSPE, SP; Treasurer of the Latin American Society of Sexual Medicine; Member of the AUA and ISSM.

He is fellowship-trained in sexual medicine and an Assistant Professor in Surgery for the University of Texas in Houston – Division of Urology. His areas of expertise include penile prosthetics, treatment of erectile and orgasmic dysfunctions, complex Peyronie’s disease, penile rehabilitation after prostate cancer surgery, and the treatment of urinary symptoms for prostate enlargement. He is one of the highest volume surgeons in penile implant surgery in the United States and the world.
Dr Clavell earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus and went on to pursue his General Surgery Internship in the Department of General Surgery at this same institution. He completed his Urology residency as well as his fellowship in Sexual Medicine and Prosthetic Urology at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Dr. Clavell works to continue his life-long learning and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and lectures both nationally and internationally on treatment for Peyronie’s disease, penile rehabilitation after prostate cancer and penile implant surgery. He is currently the Section Editor of the prestigious AUA Core Curriculum for the sections of Erectile Dysfunction and Peyronie’s Disease. Dr. Clavell is also part of the editorial board for the Asian Journal of Andrology and reviewer for world-renowned journals such as the Journal of Urology, Journal of Sexual Medicine and Sexual Medicine Reviews.
