Medical Student & Resident
The Medical Student and Resident Committee serves to connect medical students and residents with the field of sexual medicine, aiming to increase membership and build a pipeline of future leaders in the specialty. Key responsibilities include managing the Regional Interest Groups Program (RIGs) by supporting the establishment of interest groups at various institutions across North America. The committee collaborates with other SMSNA committees, such as the DEI and Young Clinicians Committees, to promote diversity, mentorship, and outreach. Additionally, it works with the Grants Committee to raise awareness about the SMSNA Scholars in Sexuality Grants among students and residents.
