Membership

The Membership Committee's primary function is to promote the growth of the SMSNA by encouraging new membership applications and renewals, while upholding the society’s professional and ethical standards. Key responsibilities include reviewing and vetting membership applications and making recommendations to the Board of Directors on approval or denial of membership. The committee works with leadership on strategic growth initiatives, such as expanding membership to new practice areas or increasing representation in existing constituencies. The committee also administers membership surveys annually or biennially, monitors membership categories, and reviews fee structures to ensure they align with the society’s goals.
