Legislative Affairs
The Legislative Affairs Committee focuses on identifying areas within sexual medicine that require education and advocacy. Working in partnership with the American Urological Association (AUA), the committee brings these issues to the attention of SMSNA members and the broader AUA community. Key responsibilities include liaising with the AUA to participate in the Annual Advocacy Summit, advising the board on advocacy issues related to sexual health that may impact the society, and making recommendations on actions or responses to identified issues.
